Natural light is carefully orchestrated throughout the clinic, animating spaces and elevating emotion. Plexiglas dowels connect rods of the timber screens to catch and refract sunlight, reflecting like water and creating chifting patterns. These details elevate functional privacy elements into moments of sensory engagement, reinforcing the clinic’s healing spirit by weaving light and materiality into an architecture of care and calm.
The “Eye of the Room”
The sphere skylights, suspended like portholes at the center of each patient room, frame an uninterrupted view of the sky, bringing light and atmosphere directly into the interior. By transforming the ceiling into a focal point, the boundary between interior and exterior blurs, promoting comfort, orientation, and a sense of calm. This simple gesture embodies principles of “healing architecture,” using daylight and visual connection to nature as catalysts for well-being and recovery.
